What's the difference between a Vector and a Raster file?

Posted on 2025-08-31

Vector files (.SVG, .AI, .EPS) are made of mathematical paths and can be scaled to any size without losing quality. They're perfect for logos and illustrations. Raster files (.JPG, .PNG) are made of pixels and can become blurry or "pixelated" when enlarged. They are best for photographs and complex images.
